Union County is very tranquil with many beautiful neighborhoods and recreation parks. Certainly one of the fastest growing counties in North Carolina because of it proximity to Charlotte and its reputation as an outstanding place to raise a family.
Union County is just south of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County and is known for lower property taxes, larger tracts of land and excellent schools.
There are 15 towns in Union County many of which overlap with Mecklenburg County. Many neighborhoods such as Shannamara in Matthews or Olde Sycamore in Mint Hill have homes in both counties. This can be a challenge of families relocating into the area as the taxes, schools, and property values may be different within a neighborhood. You can count on the agents at Loretta Realty to be able to help you define the exact county for a specific property.
